One day we will be a self-sustaining English Language Charity, dedicated to bringing education, free resources and teacher trainging to the disenfranchised masses, Probably Polly ESL story books and text books are in the pipeline but for now we're just a little page in a big old web.

Lets start at Hello!

I'm happy to see you took the time to explore this little site of mine, thank you for dropping by, let me introduce myself.  The daughter of a midwife I was born extremely quickly in my home in the rolling hills of Shropshire to two flabbergasted parents. When asked "what are you going to call her?" The tired and shocked pair shrugged a reply "Well umm... Probably Polly" And that was that! Probally Polly for life.

A hyperactive and inquisitive child and a restless teenager the name took on another meaning, something has seemingly broken itself? Probally Polly!  Something has gone missing? Probablly Polly! Or more often something has shown up in strange place? Probably Polly! What happened to the hamster? Probably Polly! And so on and so forth until probably the day I depart.

So that's me,

Lovely to meet you!

Probably Polly Philosophy...

So why is that little introduction relevant?

Potential Students...

Well the Probably Polly Project is ESL geared towards those hyperactive inquisitive children that grow to be restless adults. Those who will certainly be intelligent and strong willed, capable of learning just possibly less capable of listening for long periods and making and sticking to learning schedules.

This restless adult was diagnosed with A.D.D. in her second year of university so I know better than most how difficult juggling education, work budget and whatever your personal endavours may be. The trick is finding a plan that sticks to the individual rather than finding an individual that sticks to the plan.

The teaching ethos here at Probably Polly is simple.

Tell us who you are, we'll build the rest from there.

(See the Montessori and MI section for understanding how, take the MI test and see which smart you are.)

Meet the creative writing and planning team:

Well we've already met, but I'd like to introduce you to my esteemed friend and collegaue Miss Isobella Rose Hannah Whately.

With a background in English language and literature combined Bella is our master of the poetic tongue. A published and upcoming journalist she offers a fresh and modern approach to lesson planning, worksheet creation and teacher advice.

The projects long term plan is to develop an entire ESL spiralling ciriculum based on multiple leanring methods and strategies, using the whimsical and clumsy character of 'Probably Poly' to teach English language alongside self belief and moral and social studies.

I have developed (with the help of Dr. R Taylor of the Sunbridge Institute of English) a character and running theme and Bella and I are slowly working on editing and finishing the books and teacher training recources.

Probably Polly publications plan to offer full supportive texts, children's books and term plans available on sale to those schools who can afford the materials and as donations for those who can not.
